After short negotiations between Beitar owner, Mr Moshe Hogeg, Hamad bin Khalifa, an Emirati businessman, the craziest, yes, and the most unprecedented deal in football’s recent history finalised. Earlier we reported here on the progress in the talks.
Beitar Jerusalem was founded in 1936, and it’s one of the biggest clubs in Israeli football. It has been connected to the Israeli and Zionist right-wing since its very first day.
In the past decade, racism among its fans has escalated mainly due to the extreme radical fan group La Familia.
According to the publications of Beitar, for a fee of around 300 million ILS (340 million AED) spread for ten years, HBK has become a co-owner in the club. His son, Mohamed bin Khalifa will be a board member.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, there will be more details regarding the project.
