FIFA Cuts Club World Cup Ticket Prices as Sales Struggle

FIFA has drastically reduced ticket prices for the expanded 32-team Club World Cup after struggling to generate fan interest, according to a report by Inside Football.

Originally, tickets for the final were priced as high as $2,230, but sluggish sales have forced FIFA to lower prices significantly. The cheapest final tickets are now available for $300 instead of $890, while semi-final tickets have dropped from $526 to $140. FIFA claims the reductions are meant to reward loyal supporters, though it has not disclosed official sales figures.

Despite Infantino’s ambitious plans, enthusiasm remains muted. All 63 tournament matches are still available on Ticketmaster, including the opening fixture between Inter Miami and Egypt’s Al Ahly on June 14. The tournament’s overlap with the Concacaf Gold Cup and Women’s Euro 2025, along with player welfare concerns, has also drawn criticism.

Meanwhile, commercial and broadcast interest appears lukewarm, and players’ union Fifpro has even taken legal action against FIFA over the congested calendar. With just months to go before kickoff, the governing body faces an uphill battle to turn its marquee club event into a success.
