Mohanad Al-Saad Makes History as First Saudi Scorer in French Football

Mohanad Al-Saad became the first Saudi player to score in a French professional league on Friday, netting for Ligue 2 side US Dunkerque in their Matchday 24 clash against Clermont.

The 20-year-old forward joined Dunkerque on loan in January from NEOM SC as part of Saudi Arabia's initiative to develop top young talents in Europe ahead of the 2034 World Cup. His historic goal was part of a dominant 3-0 victory, which lifted Dunkerque to third place in Ligue 2, just five points behind leaders Lorient.
