The stage is set for the 2025 TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), as the final draw took place in Rabat on January 27.

Hosts Morocco welcomed legends like Serge Aurier and Mustapha Hadji for a glittering ceremony at the Mohammed V National Theatre.

The tournament, running from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, will feature 24 teams competing in six groups. Matches will be held across six Moroccan cities, with nine stadia hosting Africa's top football talent.

Morocco leads Group A alongside Mali, Zambia, and Comoros in a tightly contested pool. Record-holding Egypt headlines Group B with South Africa, Angola, and Zimbabwe. Group C sees Nigeria paired with Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania, while defending champions Senegal face DR Congo, Benin, and Botswana in Group D.

Group E features 2019 winners Algeria, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, and Sudan. Meanwhile, Group F promises fireworks as reigning champions Côte d’Ivoire battle Cameroon, Gabon, and Mozambique.

The top two from each group, along with the four best third-placed teams, will advance to the knockout stages, continuing the chase for Africa’s biggest prize.
